 Anti-set-off Powder

      Hunter Penrose sells a complete range of coated and uncoated

      anti-set-off powders.

Standard uncoated powders are manufactured from a base of food grade starches and additives. They  consist of a range of powders of increasing particle size from 15 microns up to 70 microns.

The 15-25 micron powders are suitable for lithographic or letterpress printing on paper, while the 50 and 70 micron grades are designed for carton printing

Our coated powders are starch-based but have been micro-encapsulated with a special resin. They are free  flowing, resistant to damp and give the work an extremely smooth finish. These powders 'wet out' in oil inks and are thus suitable for two-pass general litho work and single pass four colour work.
